About Us:
At Strong Mutha, we understand that the journey of motherhood is unique and transformative. Our mission is to create a space where mums can prioritise their health and well-being while bonding with their little ones. We believe that being a strong mother goes beyond physical strength – it's about mental resilience, support, and shared experiences.
Founder's Vision:
Lou, a mum of two young girls herself, envisioned a space where mums could come together, rebuild strength & fitness safely, and share the joys and challenges of motherhood. With a background in personal training spanning over a decade, including in one of Brighton's top gyms, and a deep understanding of the postpartum journey, she established Strong Mutha to provide a nurturing, safe environment for mothers to prioritize self-care through their health and fitness.
All of these sessions are designed for mums who are 6 weeks postpartum, or 12 weeks for those who had a C-Section.
We ask that you have been given the OK by a health professional, and that you feel ready to go yourself! Recovery from birth isn't alway linear; there's no pressure to return until YOU are ready. All exercise at Strong Mutha is based on low impact exercises, and please inform the instructor should you have any underlying health issues so we can adapt and work safely around you.
Babies and children are the parent's responsibility during all classes.
Should you be suffering from pelvic floor issues, DO NOT STRUGGLE THROUGH- it is important that you seek assistance, please ask instructors for recommendations.
